pasitheaSo... I sent off proofs of the comic book stuff last night, and got mail back saying he really liked it and wanted to expand one concept a little bit. Asked for a couple of new pages, which are basically re-draws of a couple of the existing pages.
I he must also have realized just how much work he was really asking for (His initial request was 2-3 pages and we're now up to around 10 total) So... He upped the pay a bit... A lot. From $25 to $150. O_O I double-checked to make sure it wasn't a typo. $150 in cash when he picks up the work on Thursday. Geepers... and by working way under price I was trying to pay off some of my kharma debt that I'd racked up in the past few months. ... I guess it's still way under price for what a professional gets paid, but it's a pretty large jump to me.
Oy. Putting my own work on hold though. That's frustrating, but I can probably get the change requests done tonight.
I'd be suspicious of the pay increase, but it's payment in person, and we're not meeting at my house, so he's not a creative serial killer or anything. Oy. Well. Exciting. Yet tinged with doubt. :)
